Even today, many Asian families don’t have a Family office (as understood in the traditional Wealth management markets like the US). Wealthy investors are then getting the same advise as plain vanilla investors from banks, wealth advisory firms etc

Our Wealth Management team is set up keeping in mind that we have to act as a “family office” for our founder family clients for the following reasons

	A Family Wealth Management group of 3-4 people will be required rather than just one manager. That’s because the specialization of a Portfolio Manager will be in a Financial Asset class like Equities or Fixed Income and even then his record would be only in a single asset class
	The orientation of most available fund managers is “short term” and “investment driven” given the sourcing of funds. Few fund managers have worked on long term pension money or family wealth and even when they have the experience is in fixed income markets
